Diablo 4 Season 2 has been a thrilling journey, particularly as a Sorc reaching Level 100. The leveling progression and Blood Harvest zones have been incredible, providing both enjoyment and efficient leveling. Open World content like Whispers and Helltides now play a significant role in endgame farming. However, some areas could use improvement. One major issue is the time-consuming farming process unique to bosses in the new endgame. While enjoyable, it takes hours to gather mats for Duriel runs because Grigoire mats are time-gated in Helltides. To address this, Helltides need constant availability, increased drop rates, and improved density, similar to Blood Harvests. Blood Harvest loses its appeal once Vampiric powers are maxed out and players reach level 100. It would be ideal if Blood Harvest dropped endgame boss mats to make it part of the endgame loop alongside other activities. In the latest update of Diablo 4, significant changes have been made to how critical (Crit) and vulnerable (Vuln) damage calculations work. This article will clarify these changes and their implications for gameplay. The Previous System In the previous system, Crit damage provided a multiplicative bonus of +50%, while hitting a Vulnerable enemy granted a +20% multiplicative bonus. The New Additive Pool With Patch v1.20, all player investments into Critical Damage or Vulnerable now contribute to an additive damage pool, similar to other damage types like Fire, Cold, Poison, and Physical. This means that different conditions will have the same impact on your damage output. For example, getting a Crit strike with +150% Crit Damage from gear or passives, adding +150% physical damage, or gaining +150% damage against distant enemies will all contribute to this additive pool.
