There are a lot of unique items in Diablo 4, including Whispering Keys; it is required to open Silent Chests, a particular loot source that has the chance of rewarding Legendary gear. Here are some tips for finding and using the Whispering Keys method.
Where to find the Whispering Keys?
Unlike other items in the game, Whispering Keys do not appear in regular loot, nor can they be obtained by defeating monsters or completing quests. The only way to get them is to purchase them from the Purveyor Curiosities Vendor. You Must meet them and go to the pouch icon on the map. The vendor has plenty of items for sale, and you can purchase the Whispering Keys from them for 20 Murmuring Obols.
How many Whispering Keys do you keep?
Locked chests are located across Sanctuary in various places - it's a good idea to buy 4-5 Whispering Keys so that you always have a few on hand in case you bump into any chests.
How to use the Whispering Keys?
Whispering Keys can only open very specific chests known as Silent Chests. Silent Chests spawn randomly on the world map and occasionally contain Rare and Legendary items. These chests are designated by lights made of white light and a unique lock icon on them. Once you find the chest, interact with it using the Whispering Keys in your inventory, and it will unlock. If you run out of stock, you can also use the Town Portal to quickly teleport to the nearest city and purchase one from the vendor.
Although the function of the Whispering Keys is relatively simple, carrying one with you sometimes has unexpected benefits.
