As a level 100 player of Diablo 4, I want to start by acknowledging the vast improvements made across most areas of the game. The changes have been positive, and credit is due for the progress made so far. However, there are still some areas that could use improvement, and I'd like to share my feedback and wishlist for the future of Diablo 4.
1. Adjusting Multiple Glyphs
Currently, leveling multiple glyphs for different characters feels unnecessary and time-consuming. It would be great if glyphs could be made account-wide, allowing players to level and use them across all classes and characters. This would encourage players to create more characters and explore different playstyles without the burden of leveling multiple glyphs.
2. Loadouts for Builds
The current build system is fun to experiment with but can be improved by adding loadouts. Having the ability to save item, skill, and paragon configurations would make it easier for players to switch between builds without respecting or creating a new character. Additionally, adding a separate "stash" to the wardrobe for loadout-specific items would help solve the item storage issue and prevent accidental salvaging.
3. Deeper Itemization
Unique items are on the right track, but there's still room for improvement. The rigid mindset of items having exactly 4 affixes should be abandoned, and unique items should have varying numbers of affixes, similar to Diablo 2. This would provide more variety and flexibility in itemization.
4. Enchanting Gear Lack of Information
It's essential to add a list that displays available affixes and ranges when rerolling an item. This feature was present in Diablo 3, and its absence in Diablo 4 is felt. Providing this information in-game would reduce reliance on third-party websites and enhance the player's experience.
5. Helltide Updates
The Helltide event has great potential but needs some changes to make it more accessible and engaging. Firstly, it should be available all the time and switch locations like the season 2 blood area. Secondly, relevant map markers, such as chests and events, should be visible in-game. These changes would encourage players to explore and participate in the Helltide event more frequently.
In conclusion, Diablo 4 has made significant strides in the right direction, and these feedback points and wishlist items aim to build upon that progress. By addressing these areas, the game can continue to improve and provide an even more enjoyable experience for players.
